Senior fares are uneven. A flexible normal ticket is sometimes the actual discount.
Some carriers still file older-traveller prices. Many do not. The more useful conversation is usually: fewer connections, a humane arrival hour, and a fare that can change if a doctor’s letter appears.
What we check
Whether a senior filing exists on that route and cabin, what age it starts (60, 65, and other numbers all exist), and what ID is required. If nothing exists, we will not invent a percentage off to look busy.
What older travellers actually ask us for
- No self-connects. One ticket.
- Connection time that assumes a slower walk, not a legal minimum.
- Seats together without paying a theatre-ticket upsell if the fare can include them.
- Arrival that is not 23:40 in a city they do not know.
Wheelchair and meet-and-assist are airline airport products. We can request them at ticketing. We cannot staff the jet bridge.
Companions
A senior filing sometimes applies only to the person who qualifies, with a companion on a regular fare. Send ages for everyone on the record so we do not price the wrong box.
