How a Travelobuds flight quote works
Travelobuds is an independent desk in Brentwood, New York. You send airports, dates, cabin, phone and email. A specialist replies in USD with options and the airline fare rules attached. Submitting the form does not buy a seat. Ticketing happens only after you accept a written itinerary. Read the full sequence on how quotes work.
Economy or business — say which product you mean
Economy class is not one fare. Main cabin and basic economy are different tariffs: bags, seat selection, and change fees follow the booking class. Business class on a long-haul lie-flat is not the same product as domestic first on a narrowbody. If a named cabin (Qsuite, Polaris, Club World) is the reason you are flying, put that in the first reply after the acknowledgement.
Airports matter more than the city name
People type “NYC” or “London” and take whichever airport is cheapest. That is how you land at Newark at 22:40 with a hotel on the Upper East Side, or at Stansted after the trains thin out. Our destination notes exist so you pick JFK versus EWR, Heathrow versus Gatwick, Haneda versus Narita, before the form is sent.
Airline names on this site are briefings
We mention Emirates, Qatar Airways, British Airways and other carriers because that is how people search. Travelobuds is not those airlines. After a ticket is issued, the validating carrier’s contract of carriage governs refunds and changes — see refunds & changes and the airline disclaimer.
Can I pay on this website?
No. The quote form never collects card numbers. Payment details are sent only after you accept a specific fare in writing.
Will the quoted price still exist tomorrow?
Often not. Airline and consolidator fares can change several times a day. The quote will say how long we can reasonably hold the snapshot. “Hold” does not mean a confirmed seat until ticketed.
Do you add a service fee?
If a service fee applies, it is itemised in the written quote before you pay. Sample amounts on the homepage are illustrations in USD, not live fares and not a place we bury a fee. The written quote is the number that matters.
Can you book infant laps, unaccompanied minors, or extra baggage?
Yes, if the carrier sells that product on the route. Put it in the first email reply after you receive the acknowledgement, or tell the specialist on the call. Do not assume a web fare includes a bassinet or a sports-equipment waiver.
Why might you send me to the airline’s own site?
Some fares are cheaper or only available direct. We would rather tell you that than invent a markup. That is also when an airline login, miles upgrade, or disruption rebooking has to happen with the carrier.
Do you store passport scans?
Not in the web form. Passport details are requested later, only if needed for ticketing, and should be sent through the channel the specialist names. See the privacy policy.
What if my dates are flexible?
Say so in the first reply to our acknowledgement. A ±3 day window is often enough to change the fare family on long-haul.
Can I request a quote for someone else?
Yes. Use the passenger count that will travel. The contact email and phone should belong to the person who can accept the fare and pay.
Are the prices on the homepage live?
No. Destination cards show struck and offer-style sample amounts in USD so you can see how a quote is displayed. They are not GDS inventory. Your dates will price differently. Use the form or call +1 (888) 764-9585.
Do you ticket the flight from this website?
No. Submitting a form requests a quote. A ticket exists only after you accept a written itinerary and complete payment under instructions that name the merchant. After issue, the airline’s fare rules and contract of carriage control changes and refunds.
Which airport should I choose?
Read the city briefing first if the destination has more than one passenger airport — New York, London, Tokyo and Bangkok are the usual traps. If your city is not listed, type the IATA code on the quote form.
Can you put me on a specific airline?
We can prefer metal when it is available and honest. Airline pages are independent briefings, not official carrier sites. Start with airline notes and name the carrier in the first reply. Travelobuds is not those airlines.
Economy or business — which form?
Use economy class flights or business class flights if you already know the cabin; those pages pre-set the field. Mixed cabins (one passenger in business, others in economy) belong in the first email after the acknowledgement.
What if I am a group, student, or older traveller?
Those are different products. See group travel, student fares, and senior fares. Open-jaw and three-city trips: multi-city.
