Before a ticket exists
You can ignore a quote. There is nothing to refund because nothing was charged on travelobuds.com.
After you pay, before the ticket is issued
If money has been collected and the carrier has not yet issued, we will try to stop the issue and return funds minus any non-refundable supplier hold that was disclosed in the quote. Timing matters; some consolidator deposits clear immediately.
After ticketing — airline fare rules
- Void: Some tickets can be voided the same calendar day (carrier timezone). This is not a right. It depends on the validating carrier and how the ticket was issued.
- Refundable fares: Refunds go back through the original merchant, minus any airline refund fee stated in the fare rules. Expect weeks, not hours.
- Non-refundable fares: Often still have residual value as a future-travel credit with the airline, minus a change fee. Sometimes they have no residual value. The quote should have said which.
- Promo and basic economy: Commonly no changes, no refunds, no different airport on the way back.
Schedule changes and cancellations by the airline
If the carrier significantly changes time or routing, you may have a right to rebook or refund under that carrier’s policy and, where they apply, UK/EU/US passenger rules. We will help if we issued the ticket. If you bought direct after we sent you to the airline, you must ask the airline.
Name corrections
Minor spelling fixes are sometimes allowed; legal name changes usually mean a new ticket. Do not assume a marriage certificate lets you fly on the old PNR.
Our service fee
If a Travelobuds service fee was itemised and the airline later refunds the fare, the service fee is refundable only if the quote said it was. Work already done on a complex multi-city that you then ticketed elsewhere is not automatically refundable.
How to ask
Email support@travelobuds.com with the request ID or ticket number, passenger names as ticketed, and what you want (void, refund, date change). Do not send card PAN data.
