The map
TK still sells a lot of Africa, Central Asia, and secondary European cities as one-stops via IST. That is the reason to quote them. It is also the reason a “cheap New York–Lagos” ticket might involve a long Istanbul night. Give a maximum layover.
IST versus SAW
If a fare uses SAW, the quote will say SAW. A taxi between the two airports is not a connection. We do not build that as a protected itinerary.
Star connections
United, Lufthansa, Singapore and others appear around TK tickets. IST is a large campus; legal connection times can feel optimistic with a stroller. Say if you need extra time.

Send the number before issue. Lounge access and extra bags follow status and fare, not the fact that someone on YouTube filmed a TK catering truck.
