Changi’s terminals are linked and unusually civilised, which makes people casual about 50-minute connections. We are not casual if you have checked bags and an arriving flight that is chronically late from monsoon weather.
As a destination
Nonstops from Europe, the Gulf, Australia and the US West Coast exist on several carriers. The “best” one is often about arrival hour and whether you need a hotel the same night, not about whose livery you prefer. Singapore’s hotel rates around Formula 1 and some conference weeks will dwarf any fare difference; tell us if those dates are fixed.
As a hinge to Bali, Perth, Saigon, Jakarta
A through-ticket on Singapore Airlines or a partner protects bags. Two separate tickets — cheap Europe–SIN plus a separate SIN–DPS — is how people sleep in the terminal when the first flight is late. If you want us to build it as one ticket, say so. If you insist on separate tickets, the quote will warn you in writing.
Stopovers
KrisFlyer and some fare constructions still allow a Singapore stop. It is not a default. Ask.
